Using the coach
Chat without creating an account. Personalisation is optional and starts only after choosing Personalise my coach and verifying an email address.
How messages are processed
Netlify processes requests. Anthropic receives the question, up to ten recent messages from this tab and relevant course materials to generate a reply. Saved learning context is included only when personalisation is enabled. Account email addresses and IDs are not included in AI requests, but any personal details typed into a message are included.
What is stored
The coach does not save chat transcripts to its database. Conversation text stays in this tab until it is refreshed, cleared or signed out. Chatting without signing in does not save learning context between visits.
If personalisation is chosen, a preferred name, selected learning goals, career goals, preferences, an optional self-reported personality type and other useful context may be stored in Supabase and included in AI requests for future replies. A nickname is fine. Other learners cannot access this saved information. Jac and authorised administrators may access it when needed to operate the service.
Company websites
If a company website is saved, the coach can read its public homepage and include that text in AI requests to tailor business examples. No account details, profile answers or messages are sent to that website. Pages behind a login are not read. Public website claims are background context, not verified business results.
Processing and retention
Saved learning context is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Netlify and Anthropic may process requests overseas. Providers may retain operational and security records separately. Anthropic's standard API retention is up to 30 days, with exceptions for safety enforcement, legal requirements and other agreed settings. See Anthropic's retention policy.
Usage limits
Daily limits help keep the coach available. People on the same network may share an allowance. The coach uses a protected daily network identifier rather than storing the raw network address in its database. Older usage counters are cleared during later usage.
Optional sign-in
If sign-in is chosen, the browser can stay signed in for up to five weeks from the last email-code sign-in. Sign out on shared devices. Clearing browser data or changing devices may require another code.
Responsible use
Use de-identified examples. Do not share passwords, confidential client information or sensitive details about other people. AI answers can be wrong; check key decisions and course requirements directly with Jac.
